Detik bersejarah bagi bola sepak negara apabila Faiz Subri telah dinobatkan sebagai pemenang FIFA Puskas Award yang telah berlangsung awal pagi tadi. Beliau telah mendapat undian sebanyak 59.46% menewaskan 2 lagi pesaing iaitu Marlone dan Daniuska Rodriguez. Anugerah tersebut disampaikan oleh legenda bola sepak Brazil, Ronaldo.

Assalamualaikum,

Alhamdulillah, for His blessings that I am given this prestigious award, the FIFA PUSKAS AWARD.
Honestly, it has never crossed my mind that I would arrive at this level and be able to stand tall amongst world class footballers in this amazing place.
Here I would like to say Thank You to the management of the Penang team, all the coaches, my team mates, staff, PFAM, my family , fellow Malaysian especially to Penangites and to all those around the world.
To the FAM and FMLLP: I owe so much to you for submitting my goal for evaluation.
